The Wymondham 20 is here and whether you’re using this race as part of your marathon training or taking on the challenge of 20 miles as a standalone goal, here’s all the essential race-day information you need to know.

Date: Sunday, 23rd March 2025
Start Time: 9:30 AM

Where: Race HQ (Abbey Hall)
Opens From: 7:45 AM
Timing Chips: Your race number includes a timing chip – please collect it early.


Race start and finish

Start Line: Wymondham Market Cross (2-3 minute walk from Race HQ)

Medals, water and snacks

Medals: All finishers receive a medal at the finish line.
Water: One bottle per runner at the finish line.
Snacks: A small post-race snack (one per runner).

Parking travel

Parking: See image.


Allow plenty of time to park, collect your number, and reach the start.
No parking on Briton Way or nearby roads—please respect local residents.
Check for parking restrictions and buy a ticket if required.


Bag drop

No Bag Drop: There will be no bag drop facility. Only bring what you will carry during the race.
Leave valuables in your vehicle at your own risk.


Facilities and refreshments

Tea, coffee & cakes available at Race HQ, with proceeds supporting Little Lifts Charity.
Toilets:

  • Limited toilets at Abbey Hall (Race HQ).
  • 6 portable toilets at Market Cross near the start line.
  • Public toilets at Market Street Car Park.
  • Toilets at Gralix Hall (approx. 5.5 miles & 14 miles into the course).

Prizes and results

Prize Giving: Takes place around midday at Race HQ.
Results: Immediate results available on Total Race Timing and overall GP standings available here.
Top 3 men and women: Determined by Gun Time.
Age Categories: Determined by Chip Time.


Race rules and restrictions

Headphones: Not allowed, including bone-conducting headphones. The race is on open roads, and you must be able to hear instructions.
Buggies & Dogs: Not permitted.
First Claim Club Runners: UKA-affiliated runners must enter under their first claim club. No second claim entries allowed.
Cut-Off Time: 4.5 hours (course support ends at 2:00 PM).
