
The Mike Groves 10K is the second race in the 2025 Sportlink 10K Series, hosted by Coltishall Jaguars.
Set in the beautiful countryside near Wroxham Barns, this gently undulating course takes runners through scenic roads around Ashmanhaugh village. Plus, there’s a Fun Run for children within the Wroxham Barns site!
Here’s everything you need to know before race day.
Race start and line-up
10:00 AM Start – Competitors will walk five minutes from the start zone to the race start on Stone Lane.
Self-Seeding is Essential – Please line up according to your estimated finish time for a smooth start.
Public Road Start – The start area is not closed to traffic, so follow marshal instructions carefully.
Children’s Fun Run – Starts at 09:40 AM from the main race start zone. All finishers receive a keepsake. The run is free, but donations to East Anglian Air Ambulance and NANSA (Norfolk and Norwich SEND Association) are welcomed.
Venue and car parking
Car Parking – Available at Wroxham Barns, but spaces are limited – please car-share where possible. Entry Point – Car park entrance at what3words: ///crust.purest.calculate. Travel Directions:
- Take the B1150 from Coltishall toward North Walsham. Turn right at the Three Horseshoes crossroads toward Tunstead, following signs for Wroxham Barns.
- Alternatively, take the B1354 from Coltishall to Wroxham, pass under the railway bridge, then turn left into Tunstead Road before the pedestrian crossing.
Race HQ – Located within the start zone at Wroxham Barns.
Facilities
Toilets – Available in the start zone and Wroxham Barns Courtyard.
Refreshments – Hot and cold drinks plus snacks available for purchase.
Registration and race number collection
Opens at 8:30AM – Located at the Jaguars-themed gazebo in the start zone.
Fun Run entries also accepted here.
Race Numbers – Write your name, medical conditions, and emergency contact details on the back.
Bag Drop – No official bag drop, but car parking is adjacent to the start zone.

Fully Marshalled & Signed – Follow directions from the event marshals.
Water Station – Located at Marshal Point 6 (approx. 5.5km).
Eco-Friendly – Runners encouraged to bring refillable bottles to reduce waste.
Timing and results
Chip Timing – Provided by Total Race Timing for accurate results.
Official PB Recognition – All results will count toward PBs and rankings.

Terrain – Scenic paved countryside lanes.
Minimum Age – 15 years+ to enter the 10K.
Medals – Awarded to all finishers.
Headphones – Not permitted (including bone conduction headphones).
Dogs, Buggies, & Wheelchairs – Unfortunately, the course is not suitable for these.
Prizes and awards
Overall Winners – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male & female finishers.
Age Group Winners – Categories for men & women 15-17 up to 75+.
Team Trophies – First male & female teams (3 runners) in both Open & Veterans (40+).
Children’s Fun Run – All finishers receive a keepsake.
