Everything You Need to Know: Mike Groves 10K 2026

The Coltishall Jaguars’ Mike Groves 10K takes place this Sunday and forms race two of the 2026 Sportlink Grand Prix Series.

After a flying start to the series at the Reedham Ten, runners will now head to Wroxham Barns for what promises to be another fantastic morning of racing.

Here is everything you need to know before race day.


Venue and car parking

Location: Wroxham Barns

Car parking is available on site at Wroxham Barns, although capacity is limited. Runners are encouraged to car share where possible.

Directions

To reach Wroxham Barns:

From Coltishall via B1150

  • Travel through Coltishall toward North Walsham
  • Turn right at the Three Horseshoes crossroads toward Tunstead
  • Continue through Tunstead toward Wroxham
  • Follow signage to the Wroxham Barns site

Alternative Route

  • Take the B1354 from Coltishall toward Wroxham
  • Pass under the railway bridge
  • Turn left into Tunstead Road just before the pedestrian crossing
  • Follow signs to Wroxham Barns

Race HQ is located near the entrance to the courtyard at the end of the drive on the right-hand side.

Race HQ facilities

Facilities available at Wroxham Barns include:

  • Toilets: Available at Race HQ and within the courtyard area
  • Refreshments: Hot and cold drinks and snacks available to purchase
  • Sportlink stall: The event sponsor will have a stand for any last-minute running gear

Registration and race numbers

Registration opens: 8:30 AM
Location: Jaguars themed gazebo at Race HQ

Please arrive in plenty of time to collect your number and complete any required administration.

When collecting your number, make sure you:

  • Write your name
  • List any medical conditions
  • Provide an emergency contact number

There is no bag drop, but car parking is located directly adjacent to Race HQ.


Shokz spot prize

Shokz will be supporting the Mike Groves 10K with an on-the-day spot prize.

One lucky runner will win a pair of Shokz open-ear headphones, with all entrants automatically entered into the draw.


Race start and line-up

Race start: 10:00 AM prompt
Children’s Fun Run: 09:20 AM

Both races start adjacent to the car park at Wroxham Barns.

This year there is no countryside walk to the start as the race both starts and finishes on site.

Runners should self-seed according to expected finish time to ensure a smooth start.

Important start information

The first section of the course includes:

  • 175 metres on grass
  • Followed by a short section of graded gravel

This opening section can be tight, so runners should take extra care and follow marshal instructions.


Children’s Fun Run

The children’s fun run starts at 09:20 AM and uses the same start area as the main race.

  • Entry is free
  • All finishers receive a keepsake
  • Donations are welcomed for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (cash only)

Course details

The Mike Groves 10K takes runners through quiet countryside lanes around Ashmanhaugh on a single-lap route.

Course highlights include:

  • Fully marshalled and clearly signed route
  • Road closure for the race start
  • Water station just over halfway (Marshal Point H)

Runners are encouraged to bring refillable bottles to help reduce waste.


Timing and results

  • Chip timing: Provided by Total Race Timing
  • Results will be published online and across social media
  • Times will count toward PBs and official rankings
