The Bure Valley 10 Miles takes place this Sunday and marks the final race in the 2025 Sportlink Grand Prix Series.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the big day.


Race HQ

  • Location: Banningham & Colby Hall, Banningham Village
  • Sat Nav: NR11 7DY

Start time

  • The race starts at 9:30am sharp.
  • Please arrive at the start by 9:25am and follow marshal guidance.

Car parking

  • Best access is via the A140.
    • Turn right if coming from Aylsham.
    • Turn left if coming from Cromer.
  • Car park location: first field on the left on Banningham Road.
  • What3Words: tend.unframed.sweated.
  • It’s an 800m walk to Race HQ, so allow time for number collection.
  • Please do not park at:
    • Village Hall
    • The Banningham Crown pub car park
    • Around the village green

Race numbers

  • Collect on the day from Race HQ between 8:00am – 9:15am.
  • Attach to the front of your top.
  • Do not cut, fold, or alter your number.
  • Add medical details and an emergency contact to the back.
  • Race numbers are non-transferable.

Race rules

  • Cut-off time: 2 hours
  • The race takes place on open public roads – keep left at all times.
  • Follow marshal instructions throughout.

Headphones policy

  • No headphones or earbuds of any kind (including bone-conducting).
  • The race is on open roads, so you must be able to hear traffic and marshals.
  • Anyone seen wearing headphones will be disqualified.

Facilities

  • Toilets available at Race HQ.
  • No changing facilities – arrive ready to run.
  • Bag drop available (attach race number label to your bag).
  • Water stations: approx. 3.5 miles, 7 miles, and at the finish.
  • Refreshments: The Banningham Bowls Club will provide tea, coffee, cakes, and other goodies (cash only).
  • Sportlink stand will be positioned outside the village hall.

After the race

  • Prize presentation: around 12:00 noon in the village hall.
  • All finishers are encouraged to stay, support fellow runners, and enjoy the community atmosphere.
