The Harling 10K, hosted by Harling AC, takes place this Sunday and is race eight in the Sportlink 10K Series.

Here’s your full guide to the day.

Location and parking

  • Race HQ: Church Road, East Harling, Norfolk, NR16 2NB
  • Car park entrance is opposite the church
  • What3Words: struts.picnic.digests
  • Car park opens at 08:30 and closes at 10:15

Race numbers and registration

  • Collect race numbers at the white registration gazebos by the Sports & Social Club
  • Join the queue for your surname to sign in
  • Write your name and emergency contact details on the back of your number (pens available in the blue gazebo)
  • Registration opens 09:00 and closes 10:15

Timetable

  • 08:30 – Car park open
  • 09:00 – Registration open
  • 10:15 – Car park and registration close
  • 10:15 – Warm-up (Sports & Social Club)
  • 10:25 – Race briefing (start line)
  • 10:30 – Race start
  • Presentations and prize-giving as soon as final results are confirmed

Weather and hydration

  • Forecast: mid-teens with possible showers around race time
  • Stay hydrated before and during the race
  • Water stations at 5km, 8.5km, and at the finish

The course

  • 70% road, 30% woodland trail
  • First half: flat roads from East Harling to Bridgham
  • Middle section: through Harling Woods between 5–8km
  • Final 2km: flat roads back to the Recreation Ground
  • 37 marshal points to guide you around the course

Headphones

  • Strictly prohibited – use of any headphones or earphones will lead to disqualification

Litter

  • Do not throw cups or gel wrappers into hedges or woods
  • Use tote bags at water stations or hand litter to marshals

Cake

  • Complimentary cake for all finishers at the cake gazebo – baked by organisers and club members
