The curtain came down on the 2025 Sportlink 10K Series in style on Sunday as a record-breaking field of more than 1,000 runners took to the Great Yarmouth seafront for the East Coast 10K.

Hosted by Great Yarmouth Road Runners, the event delivered fast times and superb racing on its completely flat, traffic-free course – a perfect setting for those chasing personal bests to end the season.

Men’s race

In the men’s race, Danny Adams (City of Norwich AC), wearing the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4, produced a sensational performance to take victory in 30:56, smashing his previous best of 31:41 set at the Valencia 10K earlier this year.

Adams led home a strong field that saw several athletes rewrite their personal bests.

His CoNAC clubmate George Gay crossed the line second in 31:50, improving on his previous PB of 32:37, which he set at the Trowse 10K back in 2018.

Rounding out the podium was Martyn Bath (Norwich Road Runners) in 31:55, another personal best to cap off an impressive year that included victory at the Flying 5K and runner-up spot behind Logan Smith at the Holt 10K earlier in the series.

Women’s Race

In the women’s event, Eleanor Grubb (City of Norwich AC) once again proved her class, taking victory in 35:44 – equalling her personal best from the same race last year.

Rebecca Moore (Bure Valley Harriers) followed in second place in 38:15, adding to her earlier-season success at the Mike Groves 10K, while Georgia Delaney (Royal Sutton Coldfield Athletics Club) completed the top three in 39:55.

The race brought to a close another fantastic year of 10K racing in Norfolk, with fast courses, superb local club support, and outstanding performances across all age groups.

A fitting finale

Congratulations to all who took part and to the volunteers and organisers who helped make the event such a success.
