4. New Balance demo shoes on race day

New Balance will be supporting the event alongside Sportlink, giving runners a unique opportunity on race morning.

You’ll be able to try on and race in:

• New Balance SC Elite v5

• New Balance 1080 v15

This is a great chance to properly test potential marathon shoes in a real race environment.

Availability will be first come, first served, so runners are encouraged to arrive early.

5. Sportlink stall on site

The Sportlink team will be in attendance at Wymondham 20.

If you’ve forgotten anything or need a last-minute race-day essential, you’ll be able to pick it up before the start.

From socks and nutrition to key running accessories, it’s a useful safety net on race morning.

6. Where is the race start?

• Purchase a ticket where required

Do not park on Briton Way or nearby roads. Marshals will turn runners away, as local goodwill is essential to the race continuing.

9. Bag drop – there isn’t one

There is no bag drop available.

Only bring what you are prepared to run with. The organisers cannot take responsibility for belongings.

10. Refreshments (and a good cause)

Tea, coffee and cakes will be available at Race HQ, with donations going to Star Throwers Cancer Support.

11. Toilets on the course

Facilities include:

• Limited toilets at Abbey Hall

• Six portable toilets near the start (Market Cross)

• Public toilets at Market Street Car Park

Additional toilets are available on the course at approximately 5.5 miles and 14 miles (Garlick Hall, near Deopham Church).

12. Headphones, dogs and safety rules

This is an open road race, so safety is critical.

Headphones of any kind (including bone conducting) are not permitted.

Running with dogs or buggies is not permitted.

Runners must be able to hear traffic and marshal instructions at all times.

13. Results and prizes

• Prize giving will take place around midday

• Results will be published on:

• Wymondham AC website

• Wymondham AC Races Facebook page

Prize structure:

• Top three men and women determined by gun time

• Age categories determined by chip time

14. Cut-off and timing

There is no official cut-off time.

Race HQ will close at 2:30pm, and support crews will begin to withdraw before this.

15. Sportlink TV will be covering the event

Sportlink TV ill be out on manoeuvres capturing the action throughout the day.

Runners are encouraged to subscribe to the channel to catch:
