
The Norfolk Gazelles’ Valentine’s 10K is the second race in the 2025 Sportlink Grand Prix Series, taking place on Sunday, 9th February 2025. Whether you’re racing for a PB or just out to enjoy the atmosphere, here’s everything you need to know before race day.
Race Start & Line-Up
- The race starts at 10:00 AM with a mass start.
- Runners should line up according to their estimated finish time to ensure a smooth start.
- The start area is narrow, so accurate self-seeding is essential.
Venue & Car Parking (IMPORTANT)
- Car Parking: Available at the White Car Park, Norfolk Showground (NR5 0TT), a short 5-minute walk to the Race HQ.
- New Parking Location: Different from previous years, now closer to Race HQ.
- Entry Point: Car park entrance is at what3words: ///sloping.costumed.standards.
- Travel: The A47 will be shut west of Norwich in both directions between the Honingham and Easton roundabouts from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Monday. Norfolk Gazelles are encouraging runners to allow adequate time to get to Easton College and to arrive from the Longwater roundabout.
- Race HQ: Located at Easton College, Bawburgh Road, Norwich NR9 5DX.
- No parking available at the College.
Facilities
- Toilets: Male and female facilities available at Easton College.
- Refreshments: Hot and cold drinks and snacks available for purchase.
- Sportlink Stall: Last-minute gear purchases available from the event sponsor.
- Adidas Van: Runners will be able to race in the Adizero Adios Pro 4, Takumi Sen 10, SL2 or Supernova Prima.
- Big Bobble Hats: A chance to grab some event merchandise.
Registration & Race Pack Collection
- Registration opens at 8:30 AM.
- Runners collecting race numbers on the day should arrive early.
- QR Code Required: Emailed in advance for quick check-in (if not opting for postal delivery).
- Location: Registration in the Jubilee Building at Easton College (a change from previous years).
- Race Numbers: Write name, medical conditions, and emergency contact details on the back.
- Bag Drop: Secure area at Race HQ (items left at own risk).
Course Details
- Fully marshalled and signposted.
- CSAS accredited marshals at all junctions.
- Water station at Colton Village Hall (4K-5K mark).
- Runners encouraged to bring refillable bottles to reduce waste.
Timing & Results
- Chip timing provided by Total Race Timing.
- Results will be posted online and on social media.
- Times will count towards PBs and official rankings.

- Terrain: Paved roads and countryside lanes.
- Minimum Age: 15 years+.
- Medals: Available to all finishers who opted in (non-opt-in runners’ donation will be made).
- Headphones: Not permitted (including bone conduction headphones).
- Bag Drop: Available (items left at own risk).
- Dogs, Buggies, and Wheelchairs: Not permitted.

- Overall Winners: 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female.
- Age Group Winners: Male & female categories from 15-17 up to 75+.
- Team Trophies: First male and female teams (x3 runners) for both Open & Veterans (40+).
- County Prizes: Norfolk County Road Race Championship event.
- Perpetual Trophies for male and female county champions.
- Team Medals for Norfolk-affiliated club teams (top 4 finishers per club count).
