With three races completed in the Sportlink Grand Prix Series, the men’s standings are beginning to take shape — and several athletes across the age categories have laid down early markers for overall honours.

Senior Men

Martyn Bath of Norwich Road Runners is the man to beat so far, with an impressive 287 points from three high-scoring finishes. He’s followed by Samuel Cornforth (City of Norwich AC) on 275 and James Jarmy (City of Norwich AC) on 264. Andrew Soanes and Craig Upson round out the top five, both consistently placing well across all three events.

Men 40–44

Oliver Dack leads the way with 274 points, built on strong performances at every race so far. Jon Salmon (240) and Philip Pearson (239) are close behind, while Chris Johnson (229) and Kevin Fuller (201) complete the top five in a very open contest.

Men 45–49

This category is packed with quality. James Johnson (Highgate Harriers) leads the way with 293 points, thanks to three strong, high-scoring performances — even without an age group win. He’s under pressure from Neil Adams (North Norfolk Beach Runners) and Byron McGill (Bungay Black Dog RC), both sitting close behind on 283. Ronnie Mount and Gav Dent complete a very competitive top five.

Men 50–54

Mitchell Dann of City of Norwich AC is close to perfect, with 299 points and two outstanding age-category wins. Lee Wilson is next with 274, followed by Jason Corner (261), Royston Thorne (260), and Matthew Collier (195), all of whom have shown excellent early-season form.

Men 55–59

Jason Mattless (Dereham Runners AC) is leading the way here with an impressive 294 points. Justin Dicks (Tri-Anglia Triathlon Club) isn’t far behind on 281, while Mark Williams (248) and Darren Honour (195) are also scoring strongly. David Houghton (200) could be one to watch in the series after two victories in this age category from the two races he’s run in the GP so far this year.

Men 60–64

Shaun Conway is setting the pace in this category with 282 points from three consistent races. Chris Chorley (265) and Steve Rush (246) follow, while Jonathan Cordle (200) and David Crotch (198) round out a strong top five.

Men 65–69

Wymondham AC’s Tim Seville has made a powerful start, posting 298 points to lead the standings. Teammate Kevin Denmark is next on 283, with John Moore (200), Ian Thomas (194), and Peter Laddiman (193) in pursuit.

Men 70–74

Andrew Hammond (Norfolk Gazelles AC) holds a slender lead with 197 points from two events. He’s being chased by Gary Jones (195), Derek Sadler (193), Eamonn McCusker (190), and Michael Persich (100), with several still in the running if they complete more races.

Men 75+

Graham Walsh (Wymondham AC) is the standout performer so far, leading the age group with 299 points from two wins and a second-place finish. Jim Hayes (197), David Goodwin (196), John Causer (195), and Peter Harris (100) round out the top five.
