Race Series Information

Anyone can take part in the 10K Series; members of clubs affiliated to Athletics Norfolk, members of clubs not affiliated to Athletics Norfolk, unattached runners – all are welcome.

Nine 10K races take place across the series. For individuals, the best 7 results from the races they compete in will be taken into consideration for the overall standings at the end of the season. If an individual participates in fewer than 7 races, their total score will reflect the points from all the races they have completed. For clubs, all completed races count towards their overall standings.

How do I enter?

Details on how to enter each race are available by clicking on the respective club website links above next to event. Anyone can enter whether you are a club runner or not.

Are there entry fees?

Yes, these are determined by the organising club.

How many races do I have to enter in the Sportlink 10K Series?

Nine 10K races take place across the series. For individuals, the best 7 results from the races they compete in will be taken into consideration for the overall standings at the end of the season.

What is the individual scoring system in the Sportlink 10K Series?

At every Series 10K race the winner in each age group scores 100 points, second place scores 99 points and so on. In the event of a tie, the lowest aggregate time across common races will be used to determine finish positions.

What is the club scoring system in the Sportlink 10K Series?

Individual placings will be totalled for the club and then divided by the number of runners from the club that participated. This gives an average placing per runner score with the lower the better. At least four runners from participating clubs must take part to be included in the club standings.

How do the age categories work?

All athletes compete in their age group, with age on 31st December 2025 taken in all categories. The junior category is for athletes up to age 14, intermediate category is for athletes aged 15-17, seniors 18-39 with masters athletes in five-year age groups from 40 to 75+.
