Reedham Ten: Everything you need to know

The Sportlink Grand Prix Series starts this Sunday at the Reedham Ten.

We all hope you have a fantastic race and start the running year how you want…

Here’s everything you need to know before the event.

1. Race HQ

Location: Reedham Village Hall, Pottles Lane, Reedham NR13 3HL

Race start time: 10am

Facilities: Toilets available. 

No official bag drop (your car is nearby, or you may leave your bag at your own risk).

2. Chip Timing & Race Numbers

Your chip is on your race number—make sure to bring it!

A £2 fee applies if you lose or forget your race number.

Your race number must not be folded or cut.

Complete the medical info on the back in case of emergencies.

3. Directions

From Norwich: Take the A47 towards Acle, follow signs for Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Continue ~4 miles to Freethorpe, then another 1.5 miles to Reedham Village Hall.

From Great Yarmouth: Take the A47 towards Norwich, approach the Acle Roundabout, then follow signs for Acle village centre and Pettitts.

4. Car Parking

Try to car share if possible.

Car Park: Please use the field by the Village Hall. Do not block the race route or driveways.

Follow staff instructions when parking.

Cars are parked at your own risk — please be patient when leaving.

We risk losing the race if cars block the route or villagers’ driveways.

5. Headphones

Absolutely no headphones or earbuds (including bone-conducting headsets).

You must be able to hear marshal and police instructions.

Using such devices will result in disqualification.

6. The Course

A 10-mile clockwise, undulating route through Reedham, Limpenhoe, Southwood, Freethorpe, and Wickhampton.

Stay on the left side of the road at all times.

Water stations at 4 & 7 miles.

Mile markers are placed throughout.

7. First Aid & Emergencies

Qualified first aid personnel are on-site.

Alert the nearest marshal if you need help.

8. Finish Line

Final stretch: Turn left into the Village Hall, cross the car park (coned off), then head onto the playing field to finish.

9. Race Memento & Prizes

Every finisher receives a race memento.

Awards for top 3 male & female, plus age categories (in 5-year increments from 40 to 75+).

Team awards for first 4 male and first 4 female finishers.

Course Record Bonus: £50 for breaking 52:45 (male) or 59:12 (female).

Prizes must be collected at the presentation (approx. 12:15 pm) or they are forfeited.

10. Results & Questions

Results will be posted on www.totalracetiming.co.uk and www.gydac.co.uk.
