Reedham Ten: Everything you need to know ahead of the 2026 Sportlink Grand Prix opener

The 2026 Sportlink Grand Prix Series gets underway this Sunday at the iconic Reedham Ten, a traditional winter test and one of Norfolk’s most popular road races. 

Whether you’re chasing points, a PB, or simply soaking up the start-line buzz, here’s everything you need to know before race day.

Race details

Date: Sunday 18 January 2026

Start Time: 10:00am sharp (the race will not be delayed)

Race HQ: Reedham Village Hall, Pottles Lane, Reedham, NR13 3HL

Chip Timing: Your timing chip is attached to your race number.

If you forget or lose your race number, a £2 replacement levy will apply.

Parking 

Car parking is in a field adjacent to Race HQ, managed by event staff.

Please car share where possible.

Follow marshal instructions at all times and allow extra time for arrival.

Do not block the race course or residents’ driveways.

Failure to follow parking instructions risks future races in the village. Please be patient when leaving the field – parking is entirely at your own risk.

Directions

From Norwich: Take the A47 towards Acle. After North Burlingham, take the slip road (Norwich Road) to the Acle roundabout, then follow signs for Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Continue through Freethorpe for 1.5 miles – parking is at the Village Hall.

From Great Yarmouth: Take the A47 towards Norwich, exit at the Acle roundabout and follow signs for Pettitts as above.

Please park only in the designated car park – do not park on the road.

Race numbers and rules

Your race number must be worn clearly on the front of your vest or top.

Numbers must not be folded, cut or transferred.

Complete the medical and emergency details on the reverse

Headphones of any kind – including bone-conducting – are strictly prohibited. Anyone found using them will be disqualified.

Facilities and bags

Toilets available at the Village Hall.

No official bag storage – cars will be nearby.

Bags may be left at your own risk inside the hall (manned 9:00am–2:00pm).

The Course

A fully measured 10-mile undulating road course.

Clockwise loop through Reedham, Limpenhoe, Southwood, Freethorpe and Wickhampton.

Mile markers at every mile.

Water stations at miles 4 and 7.

Runners must stay on the left-hand side of the road at all times and follow marshal and police instructions.

Finish and memento

The finish is on the playing field behind the Village Hall. Every finisher will receive a race memento.

Prizes and awards

Top 3 male and female overall (gun position)

Age group prizes from Senior to 75+ in 5-year bands (chip time)

Team prizes for senior and veteran men’s and women’s teams

£50 course record bonus: Men: 49:53; Women: 57:29

Prize-giving is planned for 12:15pm. Prizes must be collected on the day.
