
The Dereham 10 Mile takes place on Sunday, May 11, and marks race five in this year’s Sportlink Grand Prix Series.
Hosted by Dereham Runners AC, it’s a well-organised and popular event that offers a fast course with great PB potential, making it a favourite among local runners.
With plenty of parking, marshals on hand, and a well-marked route supported by multiple water stations, this race is a firm fixture on the Norfolk racing calendar.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of race day.
Race HQ
- Location: Neatherd High School, Norwich Road, Dereham, NR20 3AX
- What3Words: snug.gliding.rejoin
- Car Park Opens: 07:30 AM
- Registration Opens: 08:00 AM (Closes promptly at 09:15 AM)
- Race Briefing: 09:20 AM in the front car park
- Race Start: 09:30 AM
Registration and arrival
- Follow the signs to access registration via the main school entrance.
- There is no bag drop — please bring only what you plan to carry.
- Toilets are available, but there are no changing or shower facilities.

Water will be available at:
- 2.3 miles
- 6 miles
- 7.8 miles
Headphone Policy
For safety, headphones or ear devices (other than medically prescribed) are not allowed. Runners found using them may be disqualified.
Refreshments & Charity Support
- Tea, coffee and cakes will be served at Race HQ by Dereham Runners AC.
- Cake sales will support The Meeting Point, a local Dereham charity.
- To reduce waste, please bring your own cup or mug if purchasing drinks.
Prize Presentation
Trophies will be awarded at 11:30 AM, or as soon as practicably possible, at Race HQ.
