All are welcome!

Anyone can take part in the Grand Prix Series; members of clubs affiliated to Athletics Norfolk, members of clubs not affiliated to Athletics Norfolk, unattached runners – all are welcome. Just enter the Grand Prix races in the normal way and then look out for your name in the Series standings.

For junior athletes the overall standings are based on performances from the 5k races (to qualify for a prize both races must be completed) and intermediate athletes are based on the best four out of five performances in 5k, 5mile and 10k races.

How do I enter?

Details on how to enter each race are available by clicking on the respective club website links above next to event. Anyone can enter whether you are a club runner or not.

Are there entry fees?

Yes, these are determined by the organising club.

How many races do I have to enter in the Sportlink Grand Prix Series?

You do not have to enter a minimum number of races. The Sportlink Grand Prix Series consists of 12 races, and your best 8 results count towards your final series position.
That means:
• You can run as many or as few races as you like
• Only your top 8 performances will be used for scoring
• There is no minimum requirement to be eligible for prizes
This gives runners flexibility while still rewarding consistency and performance across the series.

What is the scoring system in the Sportlink Grand Prix Series?

At every Grand Prix race the winner in each age group scores 100 points, second place scores 99 points and so on. In the event of a tie, the lowest aggregate time across common races will be used to determine finish positions.

How do the age categories work?

All athletes compete in their age group, with age on 31st December 2026 taken in all categories. The junior category is for athletes up to age 14, intermediate category is for athletes aged 15-17, seniors 18-39 with masters athletes in five-year age groups from 40 to 75+.
